Welcome back to Electric Avenue, to a Mexico City ePrix that… happened. Seriously, this wasn’t a classic but we surprised ourselves by going 50 minutes on an ePrix that had (count em’), THREE on-track overtakes!
Pascal Wehrlein would dominate the running, winning comfortably almost lights-to-flag from pole position, ahead of Buemi at Envision and Nick Cassidy’s Jaguar debut getting him on the podium in third. But is Mexico responsible for the lack of action, or the cars themselves?
We also try to make sense of the pecking order, has enough changed? Is Jaguar and Porsche still on top? Where does ERT fit in alongside DS and Nissan?
And finally, we review the first offering of Whisper’s production and whether it was a good idea to have Jermaine Jenas anchor a Formula E broadcast (No, god bless him he tried), and whether the show has missed a trick not having one of their other shows featured…
All that and more on another Motorsport101!
