In maybe the biggest silly season move in IndyCar history (At least according to William “Billy” Buxton and to be fair, he’s probably right), that in startling news, Scott Dixon is leaving Chip Ganassi after 25 years with the team, to move to McLaren on a multi-year contract for 2027 and beyond.

Dre, Cam and RJ talk about all the potential ramifications, because not only is Dixon heading to McLaren, Indy 500 Winner Felix Rosenqvist is heading back to the Papaya in replacement of Nolan Siegel. Yes, Christian Lundgaard is done with McLaren while sitting third in the Championship. What happens next? Who takes the #66 car at MSR? Does Chip bringing in Lundgaard as his new #9 project? Who else could be in play?

There was also a race this weekend, as McLaren followed up the rumours with their best ever IndyCar result, a 1-2 finish in Mid-Ohio and Pato O’Ward’s first win of the season, with Lundgaard close behind in second. Are both men still actually in the title race? What about Rinus Veekay putting himself in the shop window with a 4th place finish?

All that and more on a new Motorsport101 Podcast!
