Red Bull have one of the sport’s fastest drivers in Max Verstappen, a guy who’s so quick, he might have genuinely done harm to the second seat, being an accidental factor in quick departures for Alex Albon and Pierre Gasly. Sergio Perez will be the ultimate referendum on that second seat, something Red Bull has to invest in if it has any chance of beating Mercedes.
