A five person show as Dre, King, RJ, Cam and special guest Chris DeHarde review a mad Indy 500 Qualifying week, and ask… Is it finally Marco’s Year?

We run up the field for positions 33-10 first, and spot some patterns. Is Penske sacrificing qualifying for race pace? Newgarden 13th, Power 22nd, Pagenaud 25th, and Castroneves 28th suggests they may have been saving something. Andretti showed massive potential in practice, but maybe a little underwhelming in qualifying trim with Herta 10th, Veach 17th and Harvey 20th. Decent showings from CGR with Ericsson 11th and Rosenqvist 14th for Ganassi, while SPM disappointed with Alonso 26th, O’Ward 15th and Askew 21st

In the Fast 9, Marco Andretti outduels Scott Dixon to pole position by 0.017 mph in a razer thing battle, in Andretti’s first family pole position since 1987. Sato’s first run of the Fast 9 gets him on the front row in P3, with Andretti Autosport having RHR 5th, Hinchcliffe 6th and Rossi 9th. Big shoutouts as well to the Rookies with Rinus VeeKay 4th and Alex Palou 7th (the “Mr. Excitement” of the Fast 9)
